EMPLOYER NOMINATION SCHEME VISA (SUBCLASS 186) PR
Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers, who are sponsored by their employer to work and live in Australia indefinitely.
The main applicant can include other family members in the visa application. On the day the visa is granted, visa holder become a permanent resident.
This visa has 3 different streams, in which, each stream has its own criteria:
• Direct Entry stream
• Labour Agreement stream
• Temporary Residence Transition stream
With this visa, you can:
• Stay in Australia indefinitely
• Work and study in Australia
• Enroll in Australia’s public health care scheme, Medicare
• Sponsor eligible relatives to enter Australia
• Travel to and from Australia for 5 years from the date the visa is granted (after that period, you will need a Resident Return (RRV) visa to re-enter Australia as a permanent resident)
• Apply for Australian citizenship, if eligible
To be eligible for this visa, you must:
• Be nominated by an Australian employer whose business is actively and lawfully operating
• Be under 45 years of age when you apply
• Have at least IELTS 6.0+ / PTE 50+ (each band)
• Have at least 3 years relevant work experience in your occupation
• Have a positive skills assessment
• Meet the health requirement
• Meet the character requirement
